Yah, so just the title caught your attention there. (Why does MQM like yah so much? b/c mqm is from the North and one of its favorite movies is Fargo! Oh yah? Yah!)

There is most def. a difference between fact-based movie trivia and moviequotes. Imdb has the largest database on pretty much everything about movies. Good amount of movie quotes. random movie quote generator. Gee but what about people’s love of movie quotes, their inherent recall and memorization of them, and the games people play with them between their friends? What about quoting movies in everyday conversation, quotes within sentences, and even quotes within quotes?!

See throughout this blog mqm can’t help but quote movies just like everyone else on the planet who watches and loves movies.

Gee I’m sorry for criticizing like this but I must analyze other movie quote sites and the staus of movie quotes as of now in the popular consciousness.

First of all moviequotes are not blocks of script as a suprising number of sites have. Sure there are extended movie quotes and scenes but for practical purposes most movie quotes for gaming and listing should be only one or two lines.

Now mqm can quote with the best of them (lol)…mqm can recite an entire major scene from Aliens. “I know em all by heart” (Perfect Storm). But to recite and list scripts is not the “essance of sex” (Boomerang) movie quotes.

Imdb.com has like 50 million unique monthlys. Moviequotemachine has reached 14 visitors according to most recent wordpress blogstats. (Spike due to recent Y-combinator app?) And “thats coo”. (Chris Rock, Bigger Blacker)

I don’t know why I almost never go to imdb. When I want to check movie reviews I usually go to rottentomatoes or else local yahoo services, google search etc.

I agree streaming is fantastic. I like using hulu. Fact based trivia on movies, yah. Moviequotemachine loves moviequotes and the existence of moviequotes in social media and human consciousness, and as a basis for friends and family, “you, me, him, everybody, everybody” (Blues Brothers) to communicate, enjoy movies vicariously and to the greatest extent human memory and emulation can through quoting and imitation of movies.

I distinctly remember our faimily’s favorite movie quotes, my dad at the wheel of our 1965 Ford TurtleTop van on New Mexico vacation, quoting Aliens…”we’re in the pipes, five by five…” .

There is so much to say about movie quotes and the best way to do it is to create great works of media and business to gather people and construct games to play, which me and my friends, and family, “everybody, everybody” plays everyday around the world.

Movie Quotes. Gaining more and more attention as people realize how much people love movie quotes, and find themselves almost subconsciously quoting them.

I checked CNN’s story on moviequotes that was on t.v yesterday at cnn.com. It is very obscure—you click on the Entertainment link and it wasn’t even on there—and the story had just aired! So I had to type in and search the site and there was the article. Fantastic. Their little game was cute! It had ten quotes in multiple choice format. It got three comments. It also made movie quotes seem very, very trivial. Left feeling depressed, from an entrepreneurial point-of-view.

All those other moviequote sites have “done” moviequotes. They have submission features, they have games and categorized databses of moviequotes, they have search parameters so you can find movie quotes by category. Movie Quotes “Seem Done”. After all, there is moviequotes.com, uslessmoviequotes.com ad infinitum ad nauseum right? Of course imdb has a massive database of moviequotes. Like search was “done” prior to Google. MQM believes movie quotes are not “done”.

Get in early. Keep on this blog. Join the moviequotemachine. See. “Rules of the Moviequotemachine” below.

MQM says: “I’ve been saying it for ten damn years haven’t I…??” (Independence Day)

Right now most popular dating sites have UI’s that are based on the assumption that users are there to find people to date, browse profiles, post pics, etc.

But hold on a sec—I guess thats the usual “bar” mentality (which tons of people hate, and are trying to get away from online!). You go to the site/bar to “look”, then strike up a conversation, get to know each other etc….maybe hookup.

It’s the “meat-market” assumptions behind some sites, like that old desparaging moniker for bars where guys are leering and everyone’s “lookin”. Most good women will tell you they can’t stand going to such kind of bars, some guys too! LOL

Or like a fish market, where there’s barrels O’ fish being hauled in, iced and auctioned to the higest bidder!

MQM gets away from “all that” because people are there for mutual interests, love of movies etc. People meet and talk to each other first on one of the most pleasant topics out there—movies! Instead of everyone out there who’s “lookin”.

The MovieQuoteMachine will be the “i ching” “the sum of all wisdom” (You’ve Got Mail” ref: to Godfather)

The MQM is more than just moviequotes, it is everything about movies, and movies are about everything.

If MQM is about everything, then everyone can come to the MQM…

If all can come to MQM than MQM can be as great if not better than match.com, eharmony.com, or POF

What about the other moviequote sites, # 1 google return moviequotes.com for instance you can’t even type in quotes around your moviequotes. If you can’t type in quotes how are you supposed to describe your quote with: … or ? or ! or bold as in “I will motivate you Pyle” (see #17 Moviequote Worldwide Rankings below) The advantage of this blog is that it is purely text based which allows ease of use for listing and fast scanning.
